2 Day Recertification
For LTA therapists who have completed the Lymphoedema Rehabilitation Programme
A comprehensive training review providing the most recent lymphoedema research, updated FG-MLD techniques, case study reviews and confirming clinical competencies.
LTA only advocates the highest level of LTA Therapist and therefore you will be expected to practice at this level.
Assignment
Your assignment is to be completed by the way of a complex case study to evidence your MLD knowledge & skills in practice.
This assignment is for you to complete independently and forms part of your recertification requirement and will need to be completed and submitted to the training team ahead of you attending the academy for review.
Assessment
Attending a recertification training day will not provide you with an automatic certificate to practice, your competencies will be assessed during your training and if you are assessed and it is deemed that you are not carrying out the MLD technique as per LTA standards, you may be asked to attend a further assessment.
Recertification
To maintain your LTA Therapist Certification, a 2-day recertification is required after 12 months after your initial training and you will be required to attend a 1 day recertification every 2 years thereafter to maintain your certification of practice.
